Beginner's Guide

Pdf digital planners are more likely to be paper planners; it allows you to edit your planner on a screen without limitation. We need a PDF Annotation app to import our digital planners and a stylus to write on it. So, PDF planners don’t work like an app; they don’t sync with Google or Samsung Calendar. You can’t schedule your deadlines and events and get reminders about upcoming activities on a digital planner. However, you can get the same experience of paper planning in digital form.

To start digital planning, you’ll need a tablet and a stylus. Some styluses, like the Samsung S Pen, Apple Pencil, and Surface Pen, offer high sensitivity and palm rejection, but they only work with compatible devices. If your tablet isn’t compatible with these styluses, there are alternatives that work with any screen, which you can explore in our suggestions here.

Here we listed the Samsung devices that are compatible with the S Pen: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, S8, S7, S6, Galaxy Book, Galaxy Book PRO, Samsung Galaxy Note Series, Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, and Galaxy Z Fold Series. (If you have a Samsung Phone that supports the S Pen, you can use it for digital planning with features like high sensitivity and palm rejection. This allows for easy PDF editing even on smaller screens.)

If you prefer using your planner on a desktop/laptop and it works with a stylus, you can easily start digital planning, or use a drawing tablet to use digital planners.

I recommend downloading our sample planners and freebie library, and trying out free templates provided by your digital planning app to gain enough experience to decide if it’s right for you.

On Samsung devices, we highly recommend using the “Samsung Notes App” for the best compatibility with other Samsung Apps and additional features. In addition, for Android devices that support hyperlinks, other note-taking apps we suggest include Noteshelf, Flexcil, Xodo, and Penly.

Some tablets, such as Tab A6 and A7, don’t support s pen. That means it won’t support palm rejection, and it won’t work with high sensitivity. However, I had many customers who use a stylus with their tablets and have a great experience. So, I  recommend you try my planners on your device by downloading sample versions.

A sticker book contains stickers that you can copy and paste using the selection tool in split-screen view. You can only use the sticker book that is specifically made for the mentioned app, not any other app. Also, both the sticker book and your planner/notebook should be opened in the same note-taking app for compatibility.

There are two ways to add stickers to your planner/notebook. You can add them from a sticker book or directly from your gallery. If you’re using a sticker book, you can easily copy and paste stickers using the selection tool in split-screen view. If you have individual stickers you want to add from your gallery, select the “image icon” from the toolbar. In some apps, you’ll find a ‘+’ icon; select that and then choose “image.” Lastly, select your stickers from your gallery.
